This time, Sorata's out and about to run errands of a more mundane sort: food, clothes, and toiletries. He's hurrying, though. He didn't want to leave at all. He wanted to stay home and stare at Arashi more. Or other things… He shakes that thought off with a rueful smile. The sooner he's done with this errand, the sooner-

… He spots yet another familiar figure out of the corner of his eye, and stops short. He's starting to force himself to get used to the familiar figure part, but-

This guy is supposed to be dead.

Yes, he certainly is supposed to be dead, but here he is! Strange, isn't it?

Even if Sorata weren't a Dragon of Heaven, Seishirou would have noticed him; he's the only other person to have passed by in the last ten minutes or so. He recognizes him almost at once, of course, just as he'd recognized Arashi earlier in the day. The monk from Mt. Kōya; Arisugawa, wasn't it? Yes, Sorata Arisugawa. He recalls the jovial introduction under the Diet Building quite clearly.

Well, Dragon of Heaven or not--though actually, it may be purely because he's one of the Seven Seals--Sorata gets a congenial smile and a wave.

Sorata prefers to be happy. There are certainly times where he isn't; when he's tired or upset or even frustrated. But he doesn't like to be, so he does his best to smile and brush it off. The same goes for acting overly serious. It's dull, and stressful. It's better to just take it easy. Even with the Dragons of Earth… of course he'd fight them if need be, if they hurt others, if they tried to destroy things. But he doesn't think that's a reason to hate them just for existing: they were born into it just like he was. That pimp guy was even pretty charming.

He's only really seen this guy once or twice in passing, but he's heard more than enough, knows more than enough, to be less willing to extend the same courtesy.

Besides. There's another problem. He's dead. Kamui, Arashi, and of course Subaru-san all saw it. All reported it. He shouldn't be here. Is he a ghost? It's possible. Sorata doesn't have as much of a sense for those things as some people. But he still doesn't seem like a phantom ( ... )

Seishirou plucks the cigarette from between his lips so that he can answer. "Yes, it is." He taps the ashes from the end of the cigarette against the edge of the bench. "And you are Arisugawa-kun, if I am correct?" Which he knows he is, of course. He's entirely polite, and even gestures with one hand to the bench beside him, indicating that Sorata is welcome to take a seat, if he so wishes ( ... )

(Dash was doing a fly by when she smelled the smoke from his cig. She wasn't used to the idea of someone actually wanting to inhale something like that yet, so her hero mode kicked in. She dived down, a gust of wind following her after she landed in front of the bench, which blew the cig out.)

No need to thank me! Just helping.... Out. (She gave a sheepish smile when she noticed it was one of this sticks humans like.) Oops.

(OOC, Dash's hair was shortened by a firework at the beging of the year, so her hair is a bit shorter then in her icons)

[Well, of all the odd happenstances today, a flying, talking pony with a rainbow mane has to be the strangest. He's surprised, and he actually shows it, his brows rising as he holds the now defunct cigarette limply between his fingers. This isn't some sort of animal spirit; he would sense it, if that were the case. So what is she?

In any case, he puts on a smile, himself.]

Not to worry. I can see you had the best of intentions.

[Dash nods her head, folding her wings to her sides. She noticed his surprise when she first landed. She was used to it though. It seemed that no one here had ever seen a pony like her before.]

Yeah! So true. [she giggled a bit at his face even if she was used to it. It really was priceless to see even now] I'm Rainbow Dash, a pegasus pony. What's your name?

A pegasus pony, hm? That seems quite magical.

[He speaks very indulgently, still smiling brightly.]

You may call me 'Sei-chan,' Rainbow Dash. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Ritsuka was walking home from the Rose Academy. He was taking the long way home, wanting to catch some photos of the buildings and sunset before his light went away. He paused by the fountain, his tail swishing lightly when he started adjusting his camera to catch the sunset behind the water and the church. He thought it would be a good composition. His steps kept stepping back, not paying attention to where he was going and so the young kitten's tail frizzed quite appropriately when the back of his knees hit the not a bench, but Seishirou's legs.

His tail shot straight up when he realized he probably just hit someone. More importantly, he was touching what was likely a stranger. He spun quickly.

"Ah... um, sorry, I was just trying to get this shot..."

The camera-toting boy who bumps into him seems, for all intents and purposes, incredibly normal. The ears and tail--which, of course, are his most noticeable feature, to someone who isn't used to seeing them--however, are not. Could they be accessories? He's seen some girls in the trendier parts of Tokyo sporting similar odd things--and, occasionally, even stranger.

Still, he shakes his head with a friendly smile. "No apology necessary," he says. "It was an accident." And then, "What are you trying to get a picture of?"

Said ears bend down to rest against his head while his tail swishes nervously. He sees the shadows stretching and knows the sun is too low now. He gazes at the man and his ears suddenly perk again.

"It was the fountain, church, and sunset all in one. I thought it would be a good composition."

"Ah!" Seishirou nods in agreement at the boy's explanation. "That does seem like it would make a lovely photo. Perhaps you'll be able to catch the same scene in similar conditions around this time tomorrow?" He suggests.

As he does so, he stubs his cigarette out against the park bench. It's certainly not out of kindness, or in consideration for the child's health, but merely to maintain the pretense that he cares about such things.

[Sealand was out and playing around Espoir when he paused an unfamiliar person sitting and smoking on one of the benches in the plaza.

Who is that? Is he new or something? But he looks so relaxed though. Most of the new people he's met were always kinda jumpy and freaked out a little. But this man was different.

Sealand gave the man his best smile and waved.]

Hello there!

[Let it never be said that Seishirou isn't willing to be friendly.

He smiles and waves right back.]

Hello!

[He's also a very...open person. It hadn't taken him long to adjust to the idea of this world. That, and he has no reason to want to be anywhere else. He's dead, back in the world he comes from. No need to look a gift horse in the mouth, as it were.]

[Well this new person seems friendly enough so he gets closer to the bench.]

I've never seen you around here before. Are you new here or something?

I just arrived today, actually. So I'm very new, as a matter of fact.

[Yes, quite friendly! Have a continuous smile, Sealand.]

Now, normally, when someone eyes Seishirou like that, he knows why. And admittedly, he usually deserves it. But he's quite confident that he's never actually seen this man before in his life--and yet he's looking at him as if he's personally wronged him. How curious.

What could have caused such animosity?

He remembers, earlier in the day, Subaru-kun mentioning versions of themselves in an alternate world. That's the only explanation he can come up with without further information. But he looks right back, smiling contentedly.

Oh yes, this man definitely has a bone to pick with him. Seishirou rises from the bench, getting to his feet, though he doesn't move any closer. The less than friendly greeting does nothing to deter him, however; if anything, his smile becomes brighter.

"Just today, in fact. Thank you for the warm welcome." And he'll just take a drag off that cigarette now. "You seem somewhat familiar with me, but you'll have to forgive my memory; I can't seem to recall your face. Have we met?"
