By now the sandstorm was waning. Its winds were now just strong gusts that while it hurt, it did not cause as much damage as it had before. One could see this as a blessing. It was almost over.
But that was not to be.
They were coming.
Just as they thought they would see the end of the storm, everyone could hear them before they saw the beasts crash through the wall of sand where the barrier once stood: the roars, the growls, the rumbling.
The sandstorm had yet to fully end, and the desert monsters were already on the prowl. With such little shelter left, where could they run? Where could they hide?
The residents of Somarium now found themselves with an even more life-threatening problem on their hands.
