Perhaps it was a good thing that Soul decided to invite himself for the trip after all, Maka began to realize during their lengthier than anticipated walk through the city and into the village. She wasn’t worried like he may have been before, but Maka had been right without knowing; the excursion would have been a lot lonelier without the company she initially thought she didn't need.
Eventually, the duo arrived at where they needed to be for this meeting-or so she figured, if the nearby cemetery implied anything. One would think that someone living in a morgue was a little freaky, but the man they were visiting did say he was a Shinigami; it was entirely possible he wanted to continue keeping his death motif even here, and so Maka didn’t think twice about it. Cemeteries were hardly places to be spooked over, anyway.
Maka then stopped a few feet away from the morgue’s entrance, scaling her eyes upwards at the building before staring back down at the door.
“This should be it,” she announced, then looked over at Soul.
