Once again, she was standing before the library, her foot tapping away, that pile of incessant books that seem to consistently dog her footsteps stacked by the steps obediently. Like they should be.
Which is just the thing. The whole situation was abnormal. First of all, she was early. Which, may or may not be a phenomenon all on its own. She was very much aware of her usual tardiness, or rather -- her usual disinterest in the keeping of time it self, seeing as that library possibly held far more interesting information than living biped creatures could ever hope to replace. However, it was the very fact that she was standing out here, waiting for someone, which she simply could not stand.
She was the genius mage. She shouldn't have to wait for anyone. In fact, they should be early to their appointments with her. That was just the way things worked. However, it just so happened that it was far too close to the appointed time for her to rightfully slink back into the library with a guilt-free conscience, but far too early for her to be doing anything but wait and tap her foot and be extremely bored-
A few moments of debate, and she settled herself back down on the steps, and grabbed a book from the top of the pile.
The Biology of Paramecium.
Huh.
She began to read.
