Rise had been going down the stairs to get herself a glass of water when she overheard Harley's upset tone. It took her a moment before she realized that he was talking to someone over the Dreamberry. She hadn't meant to eavesdrop, especially when the topic sounded so personal but she couldn't help but be worried about him. She hadn't heard the discussion from the very beginning but the mention of the Embryon definitely caught her attention.
She tried her best to stay silent, waiting for Harley to either calm down or for the conversation to finish. When the call ended, she felt a little torn between going back up and pretending that she hadn't heard a single thing or owning up to listening in and asking him if he was all right. It was what he had said last that bothered her. That he was not a monster. She knew about the whole cannibal bit from Abel, but she herself hadn't discussed it with the person in question.
Hesitantly, she made her way down the rest of the stairs towards the living room to find Harley in the living room. She took a few steps further before calling out his name. "Harley? Are you all right?"
Maybe, just maybe, it was finally time to talk about it.
