Overlord | Secret Santa
During the night, something fell from the castle. It remained at a slow, steady descent before it finally touched ground right in front of the fountain. A large chalkboard with numbers listed across it could be seen, with enough space for one to write their name next to it. It was like some sort of sign-up board.
At the top, the following words could be read: "Secret Santa Sign-Up".
Several pieces of different colored chalk could be found on the chalkboard tray, but there were no erasers.
In fact, if one were to write a name on this chalkboard, they would not be able to erase or edit it. If they tried to destroy it, they would fail in their efforts. In fact it wouldn't even move. It could be safely said that for the time being, the chalkboard was there to stay for a while.
But that was not all. A bulletin was tacked onto the frame. It had the following text written on it:
"The castle is now OPEN for public access! Please visit the Overlord's Shop of Sundries and Basic Needs to acquire the Castle Pass. We hope to see you soon!"
For the final touch, everything seemed to have changed overnight. Holiday decorations could be found on every building and on every lamp post. Wreathes hung from every window, and mistletoes hung at random entrance ways and arches. Some were even on trees. It was as if all of Somarium was getting into the festive cheer of the winter holidays.
[ooc: This is basically the IC sign-up post. You can thread/comment here whenever you want, or you can assume it happened if you know for sure your character will sign up. The list of names that's on the chalkboard will be the same as what's listed in the OOC Post. Feel free to thread and mingle in this log, and have your characters discuss what the hell is going on.
IMPORTANT: At the time of this post, the characters DO NOT know about the "grand prize" of being able to visit home. That will be revealed at a later time.
The NPCs will be around to help persuade those who are unsure. If possible, label your thread in the subject heading to help them out figure who they should be targeting. Have fun!]
