As the streetcar he was riding approached Espoir, Zidane could hardly contain his excitement. First of all, Dagger was once again back in Somarium. He knew she didn't remember her previous stays, but that didn't matter. She was here, and that's was what was important. Secondly, he learned he was alive back home. He had yelled it out at the top of his lungs before, but he could still feel the exhilaration. For so long he had been unsure whether or not he was dead or alive, always trying to keep it out of his mind and always trying to keep a positive attitude. Even though he believed he would have came back, it was still a relief to actually know for certain.
Once he passed through the main archway into the village, Zidane looked around before resolutely heading into a direction. There were a couple of churches village, but he had a feeling it was this way. He couldn't say why or how, he just knew he was heading the right way.
And he was right. After a quick trot down the cobbled roads, he could see her with her back turned to him. With a soft smile on his lips, he quietly walked up to her and said in his usual confident and slightly teasing tone,
"You look a little lonely there. Mind if I join you?"
