After much languishing, a little investigative work with Maka, and further languishing, Soul decided that it probably wouldn't hurt to actually get out and do things on his own a little more often. Though his luck with meeting people in Somarium had been pretty lousy so far (and made him doubt the stability of a number of the residents), that didn't mean he couldn't go out at all.
Espoir seemed like the go-to place for milling around and meeting people, so he decided to stick to part of Somni. There were open areas in the city, too, and he was more accustomed to fighting in the presence of buildings and paved roads than in quaint villages. Many of the foes he had slain had been killed right inside Death City, in fact.
And so, passersby might happen to catch sight of Soul, just around the corner of a quiet block, doing some solo training. Though he looks human, portions of him keep swapping between a red and black curved blade and the human anatomy counterpart, as though he's trying to experiment with ways of striking at different angles and with varying force.
Weird? Yes. Cool? Also yes. Cool enough, in fact, that it might be worth asking him about.
