As strange as it may sound, Gilgamesh's interest in this Shiki Ryougi was completely clinical (or well, CLOSE to). Honestly, he would truly have preferred that last week never happened, but if nothing else, as much of a hateful joke that this world has made of him for that period of time, he did meet this girl. A girl that he shall admit, he has not spoken to out of whim alone, despite the removal of the memories and senses of his true self.
The ability to see death of entities both living and non-living, going so far as to include concepts, to an extend - and to terminate their existence. An extremely rare form of Mystic Eyes that he has briefly heard of, during the decade that he spent wandering idly within Fuyuki City and its surroundings waiting for the next Grail War. Kotomine's life wasn't that terribly interesting during these years, but as the supervisor of the Holy Grail War and a top rank Executor, he was privy to small tidbits from here and there from the Church, an organization that Gilgamesh otherwise would truly hold no interest in. The King of Heroes obviously did not show an ounce of care when strange murders and vampire stories began cropping up in other cities on this far-eastern land, but he nevertheless archived this information, as easily as it was shed aside afterwards.
A boy and a girl, both from families of renowned demon hunters. Ryougi - yes, indeed, it fits. The odds are not completely certain, but they still overwhelmed. His suspicions only grew stronger once he regained his senses; the girl... Definitely felt unusual. Her odo was different. It was--
He really would have no interest in such trifles under normal circumstances. These are things that a magus scholar or a historian of the supernatural would take great interest in, matters that were far below the concerns of the haughty first king of mankind. Yet there he was, sufficiently bored to seek her out and question her in person - well, Somarium did force him to change here and there, that he'll not deny.
Bah, there were worse ways to pass time. Regardless, hunting down that unorthodox knight in red who always smiled like a fool and the girl with the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception were honestly not in his plans, when he settled to take a walk on that particular day.
Perhaps it was his Luck, perhaps it was something else. Still, the sight of that man was as plain as day; he was alone, and coming this way. Ryougi Shiki was not with him. Ace did not even need to get close for Gilgamesh to tell; one who is connected to the Akasha, even on a plane this remote, still possessed a signature far too distinctive for a Servant to miss. He could feel her general direction, actually, and it was much farther away.
Maybe he could have avoided that encounter, but the King of Heroes was dreadfully bored. That, and it may be too late anyway; they were now completely in each other's range of sight.
"Hm? This may be not be as grievous a hassle as I've first expected. How unexpected of an encounter, pawn, though it would be a fortuitous one." He smirked confidently as he came to a halt, his hands loosely tucked in his pockets as his crimson pupils stared down with amusement and disdain at the knight who stood at the clearing's opposite side.
