[Harry had been enjoying the weather, though it was still much hotter than he was used to. However when he was passing the lake the sudden passing put of a human body had the young wizard worried.]

Oy! Are you alright?

[When there was no answer Harry's hero instincts took over. He rushed to the fallen Ace careful not to trip on the building materials. He kneels beside the fallen one and starts to shake him gently.]

Hello? Can you hear me?

[Nothing from the pirate who is snoring quite the thing for another minute or two until he jerks awake and sits up. There's a moment of blinking and a slight look of "why am I sitting like this?" before he reaches for the knot he was meant to be tying.

And that's when he notices Harry.]

Hi, can I help you?

[Harry to his credit didn't yell, but the others sudden reawakening did have him jerking back to avoid being headbutted in the face. He gave the other male a wierd look.]

I think I should be asking you that...are you alright?

[He gets to his feet then, grinning before he bows.]

But you were...[Harry blinks a bit surprised as Portgas bows. He stands as well and offers a bow albeit an awkward one.]

Does that happen often? You passing out suddenly and waking up?

[Straightening up, Ace just shrugs, used to passing out after living in a family of narcoleptics.]

That? Ah, it happens every so often. Happened once at a restaurant...that was a fun day, funny guys in Arabasta.

[With a grin he reaches out and shakes Harry's hand.]

[Harry tries not to question it much more. He's seen stranger things and yeah it really doesn't seem to bother this guy.]

Yeah you might say that. I'm going on it being a month actually.

[He looks down at the raft.]

If you don't mind my asking...what's this for?

[Ace looks to the raft and then out to the lake and maybe sighs a little. Landlubbers just don't get it sometimes.]

It's so I can go sailing, hopefully with my little brother; back home I'm used to being out on the sea all the time.

[Harry sounded excited and a bit curious.]

I've never been out on a raft before...or anything else for that matter.

[One of Ace's eyebrows shoots up at that and he tilts his head to one side.]

[He kneels to tighten up the rope again and quickly cuts off the excess with his knife once satisfied.]

The open sea is the best place in the whole damn world.

[He tilts his head to one side because that's a pretty damn odd sounding school.]

They have schools for things like that? In England, wherever that may be.

Yeah they do. I was pretty surprised myself when I found out.

[Harry looks down at the raft.]

When will it be ready?

So what do you do at a wizard school?

[Ace casts a critical eye over the raft; he's not even sure it'll float.]

My brother needs to bring me a sail of some description first but after that, it should be soon. Hopefully.
