[Somewhere in a dark place, there is a Rita. That Rita is currently holed up over some gadget or other. If she tinkered it just right, this piece of machinery should be able to detect large changes in magical flow in the world, in which she might be able to detect some sort of a disturbance to the plane of reality. Theoretically, anyway. Her theory seems to work out well enough, but the actuality of it depends heavily on the parts she has available.
