This afternoon's quiet luncheon had turned out to be quite more eventful than the beautiful doctor would have ever expected.
Not only had Naomi Hunter miraculously managed to avoid causing a scene with the immature Princess, but she'd instead witnessed the clashing of two incredibly stubborn men--Prince Dastan of Persia and the Chief Inspector of the Police, Javert. Though the woman was still in the dark on just what exactly they were bickering so fiercely over, spying both the cruel dagger and the Inspector's darkened expression was enough to grab her usually wavering attention and latch onto it tightly.
Well, the great mystery of just what was happening between the two men was more than intriguing enough to spur Naomi on forward to find answers. The lure towards the unknown was likely to be her downfall in the end considering the lengths she would go to for the truth. Her childlike curiosity was just too damn insatiable.
After seeing that the Persian Prince had considerably calmed down after his intense burst of almost violent anger towards Javert, Naomi sent the handsome man back to his Princess' party and set her sights on the tipsy Police Inspector instead. Luckily, the dark man hadn't hobbled off too far down the road from her. He was perched on a lonely park bench, still seething with bestial rage but attempting to hold it back like a respectable fellow.
Slowly approaching him without a single word, Naomi tentatively placed herself at the opposite end of his bench, dainty hands falling gracefully into her lap.
She'd wait to give him the first word.
