[There will be a nearby whine. Once Shizuo looks, there's now a white wolf sitting close by and watching him. Pinged by animal, mother instincts and all.]

[what's with him and attracting animals--- at the whine, he blinks and looks over at the white wolf.

he's a bit surprised -- but mostly because he didn't think wolves would be found in the city, let alone a white one. but after being in Somarium for a while, the surprise is a lot less than if he were at home.]

...

[what should he do? he was going to set the cat down, but maybe that's not a good idea. well he's holding a cat, a wolf is a dog, and it's whining. maybe it's hungry. though the cat doesn't seem too distressed. ...weird cat.]

[Well, don't worry, she's approaching you both with ears perked forward. He hasn't said anything yet but he's watching her, though eating or chasing a cat is the last thing she'd do rather she'd pick them up like a mother would. She stops beside them, leaning her head up to sniff in the direction of the cat.

She has got the thing for this. She lowers her head towards the ground, a paw lifting to push the sack from around her neck and begin to nose at the contents. Oh, her dreamberry might be peeking out now. Let's see, where is it.. Ah-ha! Her teeth grab onto a animal feed, pulling out one that can be seen as fish. She tears it open before nudging it towards them and sitting on her behind once more, looking up expectantly up at the two.

..You're gonna put the cat down so it can eat, right? It's hungry.]

[okay, Shizuo is just staring now. what was this dog...wolf...doing? he catches a glimpse of the Dreamberry and two thoughts come to mind:

1) she has a owner and it belongs to whoever that is
2) she's like Toothless and somehow she got pulled into this world, too.

but before he could mull over that further, there's now fish and the cat is starting to squirm under his hold. so he lets her down and just watches as the cat immediately darts to it and starts eating]

Uh...Thanks.

[Her tail wags as she watches the cat begin to feed, feeling the praise from the feline as it eats. She gives a doggy-smile up to Shizuo as he thanks her, before bending her head to open her jaw over the cat

and proceeds to start licking at it, much like a mother cat would do to it's kitten.]

...Hey--! [he started to reach out the moment he saw her mouth open, but he stops midway when he realizes she's just...licking her?

...well that's kind of. weird]

...Didn't see that coming...

[The wolf nuzzles the cat before letting her continue on eating, glancing up at Shizuo. ..Oh, are you hungry too? She looks back at the fish and then to him.]

[...he's going to hold up a hand.]

No thanks. [but now he really is wondering. crouching down now so he's about her level] ...Wonder if you belong to someone...pretty well-trained.

[Well, that gets a head shake at least.]

...So you can understand me, huh?

[She gives an affirming bark, followed by a nod and tail wag.]

...[just like that dragon...] And pulled into this place like the rest of us, I guess...huh. Wonder what your name is...

[Name? Well, since her bag was already on the ground.. She paws out some ink and a sheet of paper, dipping the tip of her brush-like tail in the ink before writing across the paper.]

Amaterasu.

[color him impressed.

really impressed.

in fact he's kind of just staring at the name before finally looking back up at Amaterasu]

...Huh...so your name is Amaterasu... ... [wait a minute] Like the sun goddess? [not that he was much of a believer, but he at least knew the basics of Shinto and other well-known Japanese mythological beliefs]
