The ice had mostly receded, but it was still incredibly cold outside, made even more bitter by the harsh, dry wind that raked through the barren trees. Bundled up in an extra coat (a red one~) and with a scarf wrapped around his neck, Lloyd didn't feel the cold as much as when he had first arrived, but he knew eventually he'd want to seek shelter somewhere warm. Later, though. Right now he was on a mission.
"Somarium, huh?" he murmured to himself as he studied his surroundings. A whole new world... Man, if only he wasn't cut off from his friends or his world, it'd be pretty exciting to be here. If he wanted to get back to them, though, he needed to explore. The other side of the Otherworldly Gate had to be here somewhere. He just had to figure out where. "Besides," he added. "I need to know where everything is in case I need to go somewhere."
Two good reasons was plenty enough to justify going outside, never mind that he'd been feeling cooped up. And so, armed with optimism for his afternoon's plans, Lloyd headed down the streets of Somni in the direction he and Zelos had come from, the direction of Espoir.
