Honestly I've never tried. It's not really the same kind of 'magic' that muggles use. I can do this though.

As you can see it allows me to cast spells and even summons. It's crystallized mako. It usually happens where the lifestream is leaking through the cracks of the planet. Takes centuries for one to be made from what I learned, but on the plus side when one is mastered it birth's a new one.
