[have a certain Dragon Officer standing nearby, staring at Kharl in silence. he thought he had a felt a familiar, powerful presence, and it looked like he was right.

now the question was whether Kharl was going to pose a threat here.]

[There is a pause as he does notice Tetheus, as well.

He sighs lightly before walking toward him. A familiar face -- even one of an enemy -- is worth at least some acknowledgment beyond a wave in passing.]

I did not think a Dragon Officer would find his way here, too. Did you get lost?

I could say the same to you, Demon Alchemist.

[he hadn't moved from his spot, but he allowed Kharl to approach-if on guard. like Kharl, even an familiar enemy's face was worth something in this otherwise strange world. besides, what better to way keep tabs on the demon than through some interaction?

as they say, keep your friends close and enemies closer.]

Apparently we've been pulled here against our wills.

Well, I hardly would want to be here.

[He finally smiles at the other, shrugging his shoulders.

There is a pause as he decides to clear the air as best he can. One should know where one stands with another. He never let any of his enemies guess on such things, anyway.]

I still have no intention of forgiving any of you for taking what is mine over and over, but I see no reason to make war with you here. [Or now, Rath is the Dragon Lord and really, he has finally accepted that.]

[he had no doubt that Kharl would never forgive them, and he really wasn't surprised.]

And I see no reason to fight against you here either. [there was a pause. he wasn't exactly "thrilled" with the idea, but considering their circumstances, it my be for the best.]

At least not right now. [meaning, do anything stupid and expect a certain Dragon Officer's sword in your face, Kharl.]

I still am surprised that you would fight against your own kind. Even own kin.

[A beat.]

But with siblings like those two were, I suppose I can understand the desire to cut them down when one sees them. [Constantly being like Kharl owed them his loyalty and assistance. Most annoying.]

[he's just not going to answer that. in fact, he just remains expressionless. though in truth, it wasn't that difficult. they were on different sides now, and he had already thought they were dead. now that they were on Nadil's side, they really were practically dead to him.

so just have some trademark silent Tetheus staring.]

Do you disagree?

[He smiles lightly, but not caring one way or the other if Tetheus cares if he dislikes what he says about the other man's family.]

I thought all Dragon Officers wanted to cut demons down. Especially those as troublesome as those two.

[he just continues to stare steadily at Kharl.]

They chose their fate, as did I. And I would protect the Dragon Lord at all costs-even if it means slaying my own brethren.

That is how your kind is.

But that's also how Nadil's demons are. I doubt either of you are much better than the other, but it's hardly for me to judge anymore.

[Nadil was dead and so he could not think that the spirit had launched one final attack against the ones who sent him to his grave. Rath, as far as he knew, did not yet understand his power to send others to dimensions. And so, that leaves only the source from the city itself.

So, he waves in a dismissive manner, yet turns his hand back to gesture for some agreement on Tetheus's part.]

Am I right?

[there's a moment before he responds.]

Perhaps.

[there was another moment before he spoke again.]

And what will you do now, Kharl? I highly doubt you will just sit idly by.

If I told you, I feel you would just get in my way to have something to do.

[Though, he is surprised that Tetheus agreed with him about such a topic; still, he rather just search for the source of what brought them to this so-called Dreamworld.]

I'm sorry, but you're going to have to figure out what to do with yourself on your own.

Hm.

[he guessed as much of an answer.]

I doubt you're satisfied with that answer, but I hardly feel like even though we are not at complete odds with one another to be completely helpful.

I wouldn't have expected much else coming from you, really.
