Still trying to pick up girls, 'Gene?
[Hopefully, the other male hasn't seen his rather poor earlier performance with the cute blond]

[wow, Corona beer? Now that's a pleasant surprise. He is also laughing at the coincidence]
Man, the kingdom was holding out on me! Have you ever tried it?
Reply
[AKA easy drinking ones.]

[he throws Desmond one more grin before his eyes go back to scanning that dance floor]
Is the club opening any time soon?
Reply
[His gaze follows Flynn's to the dance floor as well, trying to see which young woman has caught the other man's attention.]
It needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, so it'll take some time. Although, I'm hoping to have it reopened by the end of June. Don't worry, I'll send you an invitation personally.
[He gives Flynn a small smirk]
Though this time you'll have to pay for your drinks, Gene.

but that isn't to say that he is ignoring you, Des. In a tone of mock-horror, he says:]
All of them? C'mon, Des, what kind of follow up is that?
Reply
The kind where it's my business and I'd rather not have you drink me into the streets. If you want a couple of free drinks, you can come and help at the club then.
[You know, do what normal people do and work for what you want.]
Reply
Are you offering me a job?

If you think you can stay away from the booze and the register long enough to have an honest day of work, then maybe.
[He could use another cute bartender, or at least a server to keep those ladies happy and well supplied.]
Reply
That draws a laugh out of him,] Hey, I'm not the same guy I was when we first met, okay? That guy was a raging drunk whereas I am your average casual drinker. What does an honest day of work mean to you?
Reply
Desmond smirks lightly]
Well, I have yet to see that. And an honest day's work for you would be to collect the dirty glasses from the tables, clean them and put them back into their place, make sure all what the bartenders have everything they need to serve the customers: fruits, ice, juice, liquor. You'd have to wipe the tables as well.
[It's nothing glorious, but if Flynn can do this well, Desmond is not opposed to promote him to a serving position.]
Reply
Also, the raging female hormones thing. You can totally make him your cash cow.]
I guess I'm not to deal with any customers until you're sure I'm up to snuff? Don't waste what you've got, Des. I could be your most valuable employee. [and we're done being serious now. He is smiling like a fox]
Reply
All right, you're hired. I'll get in touch with you a few days before the club reopens.
[He shrugs]
You don't have any experience in the field, you'll need to start at the bottom. That's what I did.
Reply
[he would say more but he suddenly sees her dancing with all the people in the crowd. He grins] I'll be waiting for that call, Des. Now if you don't mind, there is this girl I need to see on the dance floor. You're welcome to join me but I think you might kick up an unwanted storm.
[he will never forget the dancing. if you can even call that thing you were doing dancing.]
Reply
Oh no thanks. The floor is all yours.
[He never said he was any good at this. He waves his hand at Flynn and walks away from the dancefloor before another cute blond pulls him in.]
