Speed Dating Reminder~OOC notes
This post is just to remind you about the Speed Dating sign ups. If you haven't already put your character's on the list, you have till Midnight CST tonight to do so.
The post is here for those of you that need it.
And just so you all know, the Rounds will begin Sunday(the 7th) and there will be a new round every other day until Saturday(The 13th). The schedule therefore follows as:
Round 1 - Sunday the 7th
Round 2 - Tuesday the 9th
Round 3 - Thursday the 11th
Round 4 - Saturday the 13th
Each round will last (nominally) until Midnight CST the night before the next starting date. ie, round one will end at Midnight CST on the 9th and the 2nd round log will be posted.
Now, this does not mean that the previous thread must be finished by then, it merely gives you time before starting a new round. This way, you do not have to handle multiple threads all at once (especially those of you with multiple characters in the sign up), and chronological responses can be maintained between rounds.
Back logging is acceptable, the logs will remain open as long as they need to be. Don't feel rushed, but I'm also making sure you don't have more work than you all can handle.
For those of you not familiar with Speed Dating (I'm just covering bases xD) it's a series of short little 'dates' between people. Generally, the ladies sit still and the guys move around to the different tables. In a normal speed dating setting, all guys would get to all the ladies, but unfortunately we can't have that many rounds + some of you play on both sides of the gender valley.
As such, I have made match ups (which can be found here) for each of 4 rounds. But as the post mentions, the girls have a little extra work because of the numbers discrepancy. To keep things a little more organize, I will make two separate place holders to denote the round and the round.5's
Now, how are the logs going to work/look? Each round will be an 'action' log posted to the main community. Though there will be a 2 day gap between the posting of rounds, it is assumed that they all happen the Saturday Night before Valentines (the day the last round is posted, the 13th). After the completion of the 4th and final round, either side can choose to ask one of their match up's to the dinner hosted at the Tavern. But as an ADDED bonus, they also get to enjoy a special trip to the Carnival just for couples! This will be hosted by...well the HOST Club.
Back to the technicals. Within each log there will be 2 place holders. For example for round one it will be.

The pairings page is liked above, but I will also include that round's pairings in the log post. You can of course refer to this or the pairings post at any time, and if you see any mistakes at all, let me know so I can fix it before the round happens.
Now, under each heading the female of the pairing should comment with [HER NAME X HER PARTNERS NAME] in the subject line. What style you choose is up to you and your partner for that round, so I recommenced you work that out with them in the first few tags. The Females in the Extra match ups will do the same under the second place holder, but ONLY the ladies listed under the Extra Match ups for that round (every lady will have 2 of these extra threads). From there, just...have at it! Don't feel compelled to finished one round before starting another, but I do think it's in your best interest if you have the time.
Now, threadjacking. For the sake of keeping things moving (you only have 15 min with each match after all) please refrain from doing so. I will be including a Mingling thread in round 2 as a sort of 'break' since it would be halfway through. There, you can feel free to interact with characters you are or aren't matched up with.
Also, try to keep your characters from throwing chairs, breaking windows, or generally disturbing the peace. They can yell at each other if they REALLY want to, but Yuri would have to boot anyone out who started something vicious and then you'd lose out on the other rounds! D: No one wants that. (but you are free to murder people afterward~)
Now, even though you can't threadjack, you can comment on the people around you. The tables are in order of the LADIES for that round. So you are sitting next to whoever is paired with the lady next to the lady you're with. (was that confusing enough?) I don't know especially why you would want to inflict such confusion on yourself, but it is allowed!
If I have forgotten something or you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. But I won't make any major changes to the mechanics unless it makes it easier. Good luck! And have a blast.
