❖ MOON CYCLE 21 ❂ 05/24/10 - 05/31/10
Phase: Three-quarter waning
Weather: Calm, sunny, clear normal days. The temperatures reach a high of mid-80 degrees Fahrenheit.
Effects: None.
Notes: This is basically just a "cooldown" week after the recent Moon Cycle event. Everything and everyone are turned back to normal, with no signs of the past changes ever happening. Those who were affected will remember everything that occurred, including all of the information they may have learned in the process. There are a few things to note, however:
- Abilities restored. Those who had to undergo any type of changes to their bodies or abilities will be restored back to how they were before the event. Supernatural abilities are still toned down, but characters can use them again. If there were any physical changes, those will also be reverted back to how they were before the event.
- NPCs updated. The NPCs will now have all of the following characteristics:
- Solid. They will retain their completely solid human form and no longer be ghost-like like they were in the beginning.
- Behave normally. They will behave like normal people, so they will work, run schools, etc. Basically they will work just like they did in the last event and live like any other citizen in a city. This also includes crimes, like pickpockets and thieves.
- Mortal. They are mortal, meaning they can be killed. However, while that is allowed, try not to overdo it, and if you'd like to make some kind of plot with that, let us know and make sure to give everyone a heads up on the OOC comm.
- No memory of past event. The NPCs do not have memories of the past event. In fact, they will be totally different people than those seen in the last cycle. So any NPCs your characters may remember from last week will no longer exist.
- Research facilities. They still exist and are still functioning. Characters who used to work there or had knowledge about them will still retain that information. However, those characters will not have access to them. There will be guards blocking the way, and if you are interested in getting past them, please talk to the mods.
- Currency and job system. The currency system that had been in place during the event will stay. It will act the same way, and just as reference, here is the description from the previous Moon Cycle:Currency: Dream Card. Yes, there is a type of currency in Somarium at this point in time. Though instead of dollar notes or coins, everyone just has a simple Dream Card. It basically acts like a credit card and everyone has their own bank account. It essentially works the same way the old Dream Credit system did, only with less maintenance and more handwaving. Characters will have enough money in their account to live comfortably. Unless they designated themselves under a rich family, of course, or deliberately stayed as a lower class resident. They will have to pay for everything and anyone running stores will also gain money. Those who have jobs will have an income. But again, any monetary transaction is all assumed and can be handwaved.
As for what is actually being charged, it's Dream Energy.
One additional note as to how the currency works is the more dreams a character has, the more money they will gain. Think of dreaming as another source of income.
The only change in the job system is that characters cannot be researchers as stated in this week's Moon Cycle. Characters will also start off unemployed. - Dream Gate is gone. It wasn't made clear in the last post, but yes the Dream Gate is gone. It was only available during the event.
- Floating mountain is back. The mountain is back, though at night there is sometimes a sudden small flash of light at the peak. Anyone who tries to investigate will not be able to find any clue.
Backlogging is acceptable, just make sure to clearly mark it and use the event tag (!moon: cycle 20).
