Tantrums. Are. Exhausting.

Tavi is now 3.

5 And has been throwing some exorcist style tantrums. My patience has been running pretty thin as a result. I don’t yell. But I’ve yelled the first time ever at her this past month. I’m not proud of it, but it’s so hard to get through a stubborn highly emotional little girl! I’m going to try more positive reinforcement. I do already, but I think more couldn’t hurt. I try to involve her on my many many tasks that need to be done around the house- cleaning, cooking, laundry, post office, etc. Its utterly exhausting. I hate admitting that, but it’s true. I had a few hours to myself this afternoon which gave me a sweet reboot when I got home, but if I go non stop over 24 hours with her it shows and I find it sooo hard to be patient and consistent. Danny has been helping, I honestly don’t know how single parents do it. Oh yeah, Danny left the group Home job after 13yrs! He’s now full time at Rockstar and it’s been a nice transition so far. He’s home every morning until 10 or 12 then comes back by 9 or 10pm. It’s sooo nice! Oh, and co sleeping? Yeah, never did it up until recently cuz let’s be real, it’s easier saying “cmon in the bed” then risking a total meltdown at 2am when telling her to go back to her room... guess I’m getting back what I gave my parents all those years! Ugh!
