Characters: Hiyori, Karin, Mashiro, Ulquiorra
Summary: Curiosity has Ulquiorra sent out to investigate the recent spike of activity in Karakura, right into the midst of the Vizard paintball game.
Sure, Hiyori's target may have looked behind her... but what about above her? Trespassing was not an issue with her, so she stood up on someone else's balcony as she watched Karin hurry past. She lifted the paintball gun and took careful aim before firing several shots of NEON YELLOW paintballs in her direction. Sniper-style.
The giant splotch of paint appearing on the street in front and to the side of her is a good warning. Another two almost hit her, leaving more faint traces of NEON YELLOW on her clothing. If it isn't for her senses, and her reaction time, Karin would be covered in it. "GAH!" Eyes dart upward, trying to spot Hiyori, but it fails. She starts backing up, still being open for more hits.
"NO USE RUNNING NOW," She yells out after adjusting her aim and firing off a few more rounds at Karin. No use giving up a perfectly good vantage point as long as her target is way out in the open. She'd only give chase if Karin decided to duck out somewhere. Stupid humans.
"SHOOT!" Maybe it's not used in the best of situations, but it suffices. Karin runs, getting hit square on the back of her leg and her side as she turns, racing off while sputtering from the impact. Those paintballs HURT.
For her own protection, she goes tearing around a street corner, still going. Zoom.
Hiyori cackled out a laugh as she watched her victim run off, completely terrified. No use simply sitting in one spot, it was dangerous. She carefully climbed down off the balcony, and stayed close to the wall as she moved in the opposite direction of Karin.
CHNKCHNKCHNKCHNKCHNK. Rapidfire splatters of green raced towards Hiyori along the wall, following her from the balcony she'd just abandoned. There was the brief sound of hysterical giggling before Mashiro FLED.
There'd been an increase in activity here in this realm and it wouldn't do to keep uninformed. Preparations for battle should be expected, a rise in guard on living front, perhaps- but this..?
"...what is this..?" the half-helmed Espada murmured as he watched from a nearby rooftop at the fools dashing about. Green eyes were narrowed, studying the erratic movement of the paintball-wielding ones below. Keeping extremely tight tabs on his reiatsu, he remained watching, standing as still as a white statue.
Terrified? More like annoyed. Of course, the look on her face does emit both, so who can really tell? She breathes, glancing back around the area. The sounds of paintballs splattering makes her cringe, but she sneaks a peek back around the corner, only to see green.
Oh, man. The crazy girl came back. For a bit?
....Karin better move. Now.
"DAMN IT," She exclaimed while the paint barely grazed the tips of her pigtails. Hiyori took cover behind a tall stack of crates, randomly firing off in all directions around her. Yet a certain trace of reiatsu made her pause that sporadic firing, as she first cast a glare skyward. It was so unfamiliar...
Mashiro rolled off the edge of the flat-top building she'd taken up a sniping position in, peeling her goggles up off of her eyes a minute to squint across the roofs looking for shinigami.
"H..." she squinted further, then shoved her goggles entirely up. "YOU'RE NOT A--HIYORIN," she suddenly bent double over the ledge, yelling down to the ground, "HIYORIN, WE'VE GOT COMPANY!"
If he was unamused earlier, then the further narrowing of his gaze certainly did not mean well for the two Vaizard, especially now that he'd been noticed. No sooner had he heard Mashiro's shout did he seemingly vanish from his place. He hadn't completely left the area though, and those that were paying close attention would be well aware of this. Not to worry though, as he didn't remain unseen for much longer. He appeared behind Hiyori, a tall white shadow stretching over the smaller girl. "....." It was easier to get a better sense of their reiatsu once he was close enough, and the feeling.... it was familiar...
Right when Karin is about to do double time, she stops, hearing Mashiro and Hiyori. The excitement is not from the game, not with those cries. The reiatsu is suppressed, at least, not overwhelming her senses.
Grasping onto the wall, the young Kurosaki also scans the area, side to side, up and down. "Wh-where..." She edges a bit more out of her hidden zone to see the new arrival, eyes widening. "...What the..."
Damnit, what a time to forget one's own zanpakuto. Hiyori stood from her crouching position and turned around to face this newcomer. She wasn't about to let herself look intimidated by this person, but the hairs still stood on the back of her neck. "Who... the /hell/ are you?!"
