did you know that http://www.archive.org/audio/etreelisting-browse.php?cat=Warren%20Zevon contains free to download live warren songs by the truck load? Its a great retrospective of his live performances. They are free to swap and share with your friends and family. They have many artists up there who offer their live show recordings free for the downloading (of course all the dead you can fit on a hard drive) but some notable groups like Bela Flek and the Flektones. Give the live music archive a try!

I just looked through his jounal, and I guess he didn't bother to mention it before. But it really is his to tell, if he chooses to. All I'll say is that when someone pulls out that tired old saw about how "it's not brain surgery" to descibe how simple something is, both our boy some_mensch and I can reply: "Yes, I know." (But from opposite sides of the knife.)

the damned doctor who touched my brain. Maybe you can make it out from the small sized picture here, maybe not. a few years ago I got to pay for 2 crash carts in one 12 hour operation that rendered me an even bigger idiot than before (seems you can die during brain surgery, and they can still finish the job and bring you back). However, the doctor did in fact see fit to insure that he moved my brain back into its proper place after the surgery, and now all I have are the scars, my memories (and lack their of), my migraine headaches (althoght the medicine keeps them at bay), and of course I failed to die on schedule. I am 16 months into the bonus round now, and counting. 16 month may not seem like a lot to everyone, but its a lot to me

Excitable as that boy was, I'll bet he got her home before curfew. (Certainly the worse for wear, though. . . )
