just out of curiosity, if you don't mind my prying, what is your portfolio breakdown in terms of stocks/sectors?

nearing the end of the market day, VWO lost 7.29%. shit shit shit.

interestingly, my love life seems to correlate with my investments to some degree... oof.

well, I just placed an order to sell my shares of this ETF, because I'm *sure* it's going to tank more tomorrow. china's market lost around 9% today after the gov't decided to 'crack down' on illegal behaviour, etc. when things are a bit calmer, i'll buy the ETF again...

Honestly, I don't know if selling is a good idea... usually there's a rebound the day after a big drop, as people snap up low-hanging fruit.

indeed :) but because I placed the order after market hours, it should have gone through at the start of today. when VWO opened today, it was almost 2% higher than when it closed the day before.

I'm thinking of rediversifying a bit, and probably reinvesting in this fund at some point, but I want to watch it for a while first.

hehe, i have my parents to blame for it :) they started a mutual fund for me when i was a kid, and recently transferred ownership of the money to me. it's not gonna buy me a yacht, but it's a reasonable chunk of change. i think investing is one of those things you sorta have to dive into to learn about :)
