Long time no me

So there's something weird with my firewall at work since my computer was upgraded. Now, I can log in to LiveJournal, but the moment I move away from the page that tells me I'm logged in... it logs me out. This means I can't post from work, I can't read any "locked" posts from work, and it's frustrating as all heck

what is it with people partying out front? i mean you all have backyards and most people have a deck or patio, why are people setting up their grill on the driveway.

i mean porches are great and all but normally it's for quiet reflection or watching your kids while they ride their bikes.

how many exams/certifications are you going for? is this a requirement for your job? and how often do you need to update them?

I've also noticed this neighbor, who has a fenced yard, barely watching as her young kids run around in the street. We are in a quiet neighborhood, but periodically a car rips through at sixty.

I have a total of 8 exams to take. (3 down, 5 to go.) It is not a requirement for my job but it will make me much more marketable, give me a huge cash bonus and a free trip, and give me more letters to put after my name. It's entirely on my own time. Once I have 'em, I have 'em -- but I do have to take continuing education every year to keep up my licenses.
