interestingly enough, i read an article yesterday about a band (whose name escapes me at the moment), and one of the things they said was that despite the difficulties they face, which play out in their lyrics, they can't help but notice an overwhelming sense of hope throughout everything they write and play. i thought of that as i read your entry today. :)
