Good luck in your move! I've been bad about keeping up with LJ and it seems like a lot of other people have too. You're one of my favorite people on here. I'd add you on facebook in case LJ just disappears off the internet but I don't know how to. Hope to get an update soon after you're moved in...

Hows it going dude? You get moved OK? Appliances won't work in the US? Even with adapters?

It is going OK I guess, but no most European appliances are 220V. In America the inputs in the houses are generally only 110 V. You can purchase down-converters but they aren't cheap at all.
