If you're going with the tactical vest, you could maybe replace some of the pockets with buttons/switches and/or lit containers. You could replace a pocket with a sound sensitive light like the one that you have on your big gun (Henceforth known as Vera).

I think some tubes that run from the back to some kind of gauntlet device would look very cool. However they may constrict your movement unless you give them a lot of slack.

I'll have to think more on this when I'm less exhausted.

I think one of the tricks to keeping a decent silhouette will be focusing on the shoulders, and stream-lining the sides. Larger gloves and shoulders, goggles and goodness to match, with a comparatively-slimmed waist, will look good and prevent the Mecha-Cow syndrome. Probably.

Hi-
I'd like to introduce myself as Jonah's technological fashion designer. We can talk about it on Friday of what we have and can do... or beg someone to sew on...

Really, what we need to do is get you a costume like Scalphunter's. Although maybe with out the pirate boots. ...yeah. Marvel in the 80's.

I think a better underlying vest would be something like this:

MOLLE Universal Vest (similar style can be found by searching for "combat webbing" or "combat vest")

It'll give you a military looking underlayer that can be adjusted to at least somewhat fit your figure, and it has *lots* of attachment points for various additions.
