Summary: Sam always was the black sheep, the freak in his already twisted family. But when he gets bitten by a werewolf, a whole new world opens up for him. It's a new type of picket fence life, and if only Dean would stop trying to fix him.
Notes:This isn't entirely 'AU' in the sense that the over-all plot of the entire show doesn't exist (like the demon and so on), it just sorta happily skirts around it and leaves it in the background. I love the plotline of the cannon-show, I do, but I love /watching/ it, not writing it. Makes my brain go nuts. So anyways, just roll with it? :3
This story /starts/ in season one, sometime between episode 5 'bloody mary' and episode 6 'skin'.

Chapter 03 - No Satisfaction
“No.”
Sam raised his eyebrows at him, his face an incredulous question mark, “Why not?”
“We're not telling Dad about this, Sammy,” Dean said firmly, and then as if to validate himself he added, “besides, it's not like he'd answer his phone anyways, it wouldn't make much difference.”
“That didn't answer my question, Dean, why not?”
Dean didn't want to answer his question so he kept his mouth shut and pulled off the road to get more gas. They were running low because although his baby was a classic, she sure was thirsty. He figured he would mind more if it was honest earned money. Credit card fraud wasn't easy but it wasn't hard enough to warrant a newer, more fuel efficient car.
Sammy kept running his mouth off but at that point Dean wasn't really listening. The gas station he'd found was old and dust ridden. He guided the impala up next to one of the pumps and cut the engine. As he was getting out of the car he tuned back in so he could ask Sam if he wanted to go get anything from the mart before they left.
“You think he would kill me if we told him.” Dean guessed that was supposed to be a question but it didn't sound like one. If Sam was saying it like that then he knew the answer and Dean wasn't about to give him the satisfaction of saying it out loud.
