...and writing porn in public is bizarrely fulfilling. Probably potentially illegal, but there's something just really amusing about sitting next to an elderly couple reading the paper whilst trying to decide between using dick or cock.

I come from a family that was always church-going, but not "religious." I know that sounds weird, but it was true. My mother was big on us making up our own minds and being educated about religions of all kinds.

I took that seriously and while I have my own faith, I'm not at all religious and no longer attend a church. Mostly I'm offended by what passes for Christianity these days.

In the meantime my family became EXTREMELY religious. My mother had a series of small strokes and suddenly she was all hellfire and brimstone and a bigot.
