Oh, but consider it. Isn't it possible that, somewhere, someone imagines you writing your own stories? Not that that would make you any less real, of course, but there may be--how do I want to say this?--windows of some kind, allowing the denizens of one world to peer into another without realizing that they're doing so.

Wouldn't it? I almost can't imagine such a thing, but it would explain a good deal. Now if we only knew how these theoretical windows worked we might find a way out...
