I really felt for Dickie as I read this, something I don't think I did as I watched the show.
What I love about good slash is the author's ability to make me believe their universe is plausible. I can only imagine being gay in Harlan and gay for a boy like Raylan.
I also loved the Richard Bennett v. Dickie Bennett.
