the obscene bird of night by jose donoso! i cannot stop recommending this book to everyone, but seriously.

Well, for what it's worth, the alchemist i thought was pretty terrible. But, i was going to recommend QED the strange theory of light and matter ... and that's a book of science lectures. In the first one, though, he explains what science thinks about color, and basically the rest of the lectures are refining that ... and i've had a fun time with colors since i read that b ook.
