what's cool is being unashamed of what you like.

I'm moving to Peoria one week from today. There's still a lot to be done, yuck. Erek's coming over tomorrow to help me, though, so that's nice. He actually volunteered to help me clean, pack, and take donations to the Community Enabler, despite the fact that we kinda broke up last week when he got back from Bonnaroo. We're still friends, which is ( Read more... )

my future, erek

i can take that song in very small doses.

the "unashamed" thing is how i feel about the new kids. i love those boys, always will, and anyone who makes fun of me can just make fun. :)

However, the important thing to remember, kids, is that just because someone is a nice (or the nicest) person, doesn't mean they're the nice person for you. sad, but true.

Yeah...admittedly, I've never dealt with the song in anything other than small doses.

Also, anyone who makes fun of you is an idiot. What is the point, exactly, of making fun of what someone likes? It seems to me that people who do that are wasting their own time on something insignificant.

i think leona lewis is the one that simon cowell was just raving about, and when i heard it, i wasn't all that impressed. yes, she's a good singer, but there's nothing spectacular or different about her voice... to me, anyways.

i agree! all these music elitists!

...it's almost saturday! get excited!

(p.s. i told my mom about your reaction to your mom coming saturday, and she said she'd stop by your house and pick up your mom and the two of them would come down and have a drink with us saturday night. ;) )

I can take that song in HUGE doses.

It's the one song out there right now that I would gladly put on loop for a day and a half and sing along with it every time. I turn the radio on at work every day to the top 40 station just hoping it comes on and when it inevitably does I crank it up so even the people out front at the bar can hear me back in the kitchen while my crackly voice bellows out:

"You cut me open and IIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii".

Then the managers come back to try and figure out which animal I'm slaughtering but I keep on singing because "I don't care what they say, I'm in love with it".

I love reading your entries. It always amazes me how we have completely different stances on some things, but feel exactly the same about others. I think that's probably why we're friends. What fun would it be if we thought exactly the same about everything? I apparently didn't read your journal back during the God post, but I feel the same. It was weird, b/c it's almost like I wrote it. Or have written some variation of it at one point or another. I'm glad you're going to Peoria. I hope you have many adventures that teach you more about yourself and life in general. I'm so excited about the person you are becoming. There is something special about you, Jenny Stedham, and I can't wait to see how God molds you into what he's planned for you. Good luck with your packing.

I agree with you about agreeing to disagree about some things...I have always felt that you respected me despite not agreeing with me about everything, and I definitely feel the same way about you. :) I value your opinion greatly also.

And thanks for the encouragement about my trip. I've been praying about it even more lately...for it to be a good trip, to learn a lot, meet new (and different kinds of) people, to come out of my shell... :) Also, it means more than I can tell you that you think there is something special about me. Here's hoping I'll make ya proud!

much love.
