I love TinyBuddha.com. I am pasting directly from their site because today's thought is something that I need to be reminded of often: not to make snap judgments, or hold people's past actions against them. (The latter part is particularly difficult for me. Ah yes, thousands and thousands of years of social indoctrination geared more toward not getting killed by our fellow man will probably take a healthy sum of time to erode if in fact it ever does. For the foreseeable future we'll be living in a world of limited resources and unlimited wants. If the state of things today is any indicator, the wants of the "haves" definitely take priority over the needs of the "have nots." Why would it be so hard for me to donate a little money to a good cause? It wouldn't be. I'm lazy and don't like to think about the uglier side of the planet. I suck, but I guess so do the majority of us. Anyway, yeah, I still come around your LJ page ;)

You make an excellent point, however. Human beings are greedy. Fact of life.
