logically you are right. it takes two people to make a relationship work and there was no way i was going to be able to hold that one together by myself. it just feels that way, that i should have been able to help with anything including this. maybe i could have fixed this problem too but jake didn't want help. he wouldn't let me do anything.
You don't seem to be willing to accept the possibility that Jake just isn't that attracted to you, physically and/or mentally.
There's nothing you can do to make someone love you, if they "just don't."
Jake is probably not in touch with his feelings. I've gathered that much from previous discussions about his maturity.
I know I had this same kind of issue with my first girlfriend many (many) years ago.
He may not consciously realize what's wrong, but you "just don't feel right." To him. He's tried to make it work, because he doesn't want to hurt you. Also, he can't come up with a definitive, reason to end it.
However, it just will not work. It is not your fault, the problem is in him.
joel, the fact that the guy isn't that attracted to me is what is making moving on possible to do in the first place. in the entry before this one, i said i was looking forword to getting over it and the reason is because i know i was the only one that cared about the relationship. maybe he cared about me as a person to a degree but thats all. (of course if he did then why would he constantly hold these mysterious reasons for being mad at me over my head until i'm so hurt i can barely hold myself together

I agree that on the surface your journal has been mostly negative (not entirely though).
However, a lot positive can be learned about you by reading between the lines, and looking at the reasoning and emotions behind the actions.
Glad I could help you feel a little better.
