General Ramblings
- Just me finding names funny, no real spoilers except for the premise of the show:
Hehehe, watching Single Father just for David Tennant. It's not bad but not particularly amazing. David Tennant is so adorable though, and his character's name is David Tyler. I wonder if the writers realised the idiosyncrasies of that when they were naming him :p. It's mildly amusing. Also his dead wife's name is Rita (remind anyone else of another currently airing show about a guy with a dead wife called Rita?)
Is it bad that I can find a really sad show quite amusing based simply on naming choices? It really is quite touching, and I must say David's acting is rather good. The only problem I really have with it is that it all feels a bit clichéd. It's ok to have a bit of that sometimes though.
- I went to see Inception for the second time yesterday. It was so complicated the first time I really wanted to try and catch the bits I missed. Also to work out why it's become such a big fandom. After the first time I saw it I really didn't get why so many people started shipping Eames/Arthur. Now I totally do. So much snarky banter <3 I could so almost ship them. Almost.
I don't know why I have such a hard time shipping slash pairings. My only reason would probably be that I find it really hard to ship something that doesn't seem plausible within cannon. (I also have an undying love for fic's that stick to cannon). I find a lot of slash pairings just don't seem plausible because one or both of the characters are obviously strait. Yeah, I think that might be it. I mean, I do ship Holmes/Watson (at least in the BBC miniseries). Now that is plausible and could fit in cannon.
So all in all, I think I might go find me some Eames/Arthur fic. :p
