Glee!
So I was so super excited for tonight's episode because I knew it would be about Kurt and he's my favourite character.
I really really didn't like the Artie, Puck, Santana, Britany story line. The two most misogynistic members of Glee club becoming friends? No thanks.
The was Santana and Britany reacted was so terrible. I can see Brit reacting that way because really she is an air head that takes everything at face value. Santana though, she's got a lot of confidence and backbone. Why would she just take that treatment from him? Gah, so stupid. I so do not see the Brittany/Artie relationship at all. At least he's not with Tina. He was horrible to her.
Well... on to things I liked. The Kurt storyline I loved. I know it's gotten a bit of criticism but I loved it. I'm so glad Kurt finally called Will and the administration on ignoring his bullying. I've been wondering why everyone's been turning a blind eye about it since episode 1. Poor Kurt.
Also Kurt/Blaine I really like that he has such a nice guy there for him. I hope it's not too one-sided though. I really hope it's not just him taking care of Kurt all the time. It will never be an equal friendship/relationship if it's like that.
The whole bully is gay thing was...interesting. I dunno, it was pretty cliched but I think I can forgive it. It really depends how they handle it from now on.
I really didn't mind the Beiste thing either. It was a terrible thing for the boys to be objectifying/making fun of her for the way she is but it seemed very realistic in a high school setting. I think it would be terrible and preachy if they never had the kids doing things that are insensitive like most teenagers do, and when they really thought about it the boys realised it wasn't very nice at all.
Will kissing her was stupid. A pity kiss? No one wants that. Will is stupid. He's annoying me more and more.
My favourite bit was probably Rachel trying not to be in charge. Spies! I loled so hard about that. I missed Rachel this ep. I also missed Finn. Also Emma. Also I wish this show had more focus on friendships. TV shows in general don't focus enough on friendships between characters. I'm really enjoying the developing Finn and Sam friendship.
Ooo, one last thing. In a episode so focused on Kurt he didn't do one solo! That's so stupid! I wanted to hear him sing!
Oh well, hopefully next ep. And hopefully him and Blaine will have some romantic duets in the future. *fingers crosses*.
