Someone once told me that you should NEVER judge a group of people because of the actions of a few. If fact that same person said that anyone who does judge people in such a fashion isnt a person, they are an animal! You should talk to this person and have them read what you wrote. Then again someone i once met called someone that cut us off a "Queer" and then claimed that by "Queer" he meant different. Yet another person i know seemed to judge people as "white trash" because they became pregnant at a young age and instead of taking the easy way out and aborting the bastard, they took responsibility and raised the child. Its a good thing that first person never met any of the others!
1) The people who are going into teaching are going into it in default. "Uhh... I didn't know what to do, so I am going to do education. Summers off, right?" Lessons plans, etc so probably not, but the idea that you are doing something because you didn't want to or couldn't find anything else justifies the horrid maxim: Those who can't, teach.
