The state of clean vehicles

For the past decade, I've been wanting a vehicle fueled by clean energy -- low or no emissions. Oh, for sure. I got the "112MPH standard" top speed for a Prius from here, although Yahoo answers says people have some trouble getting it over about 107MPH.

The "72MPH electric mode" specifically refers to the "Prius+" plug-in hybrid conversion's top speed in "all-electric" battery-only EV mode. Unless I'm mistaken, accelerating an unmodified Prius up to that speed will drop it into hybrid mode with combustion assist.
