When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple

And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.

I've heard this poem before. Maybe in a commercial?

I really like it.

And when I'm an old man, I'm going to have to learn something besides spitting. I mastered that one ages ago.

I found it in Perrine's Literature book (the book of Satan, really) and just fell in love with it. Actually, a friend saw it, and told me I would like it... which made me think about how transparent I am. Or how false and set on building a simple character for my friends I am.

I'll have to take up Brandy. Everything else, I can pretty much see myself doing now.
