Regarding songs/music in general(but more specifically). Do you ever find yourself completeing a song for the composer? The most glareing example I can think of is Canon by Pachebel. One of the things I always noticed about this song is that it seems he only wrote the rhythm tracks and left out the melody line. There is such a strong implied melody and every time I hear the song, in my mind, the melody line plays along with the recording. I have never been able to figure out whether this was a purposeful act or if he just left it incomplete.

Impressions and knowledge vs words and notes. Again interesting concept. I guess that's why when you hear a song done by different artists they don't sound alike. It is through the interpretation that a song comes alive(if you will).
