Father, I haven't heard from you since our post-cloudquake conversation, in whcih we arranged that the two Hegua Lake kids would meet you in Garrettstown and travel back to Bydan with you. You were going to find them a family in the shipwrights' community. Uncle Iwao says it's all arranged, assuming you approve his choice.
He also says you and the kids are overdue. You were supposed to have arrived at Bydan Airfield two days ago. So I take it you missed your flight - understandable, considering what chaos I found in Garrettstown when I arrived with Serenity.
I stopped in to see our friend Gus Metonic, the firearms dealer. I bought my .45-caliber revolver from him, remember? [And who knows how much heavy hardware you and Uncle Iwao have imported over the years through Gus's Ivonian contacts? - with which to outfit our Kurosaki ships when the customers desired them armed with cannon.] Well, I was hoping to acquire one of the new pump-action shotguns, but there has been a run on weapons in the last few days, as you can well imagine. But he did have a few of the old break-action guns left, so I am decently armed. And no, I haven't given up the katana.
If you receive this message but can't reach me, leave a message with Gus. He says he's damned if he's leaving town.
Oh, by the way, if you run into a guy named Dean Winchester, I'm looking for him, too! We got separated after
we fought this... [momentarily at a loss for words to describe the silliness of things] ...FIFTEEN-FOOT-TALL ANIMATED UMBRELLA STAND WITH BIG EYES AND THE ABILITY TO SHOOT FIRE, ICE, AND ELECTRICITY.
And if you see Fox McCloud, the pilot, I'm also hoping to hook up with him! I told you about Fox's and my investigation at the Abantiare dockyards, if you recall. Ask me sometime about a
ghost-flight through the skies of Antrim...it's quite a story.
Anwyay, hope to see you soon.
