Some of you may know and love (if by 'love' I mean "want to slaughter" or "wish AIDS upon") my darling foster brother, Benjamin. If you don't, well, count yourself lucky. He's turning eighteen soon, and, if fate decides that for once it does not hate me, he will be forced out by the system and by the fact that Dad hates him as much as we do ( Read more... )

Okay... Ah... Kat, you know I love you. I don't live there with you and him and everything, and I don't know what he does there. But I know him from school and whatnot. I know he can be really really really REALLY obnoxious. I'm going to ask some possibly stupid/obvious questions.

Have you or you guys ever straight up talked to him about his behavior? I know with my younger brother, if you just be straight forward [and not rude or downright mean about it] and tell him that you don't like what he's doing and you're not going to put up with it, eventually [not right that second] he gets it and fixes some of what he's doing. And especially with this case and how you can freakin kick his ass out, you have more leverage.

And if not for the sake of saving him from his seemingly poor role model family, I would try and like... Truly work it out. I would hate to see anything happen to Ben like that, and I dunno, maybe deep deep deep deeeeeep down in your soul, you wouldn't want to see him after having to stay with his family.

Lol. Mary, no offense intended, I love you and all, but that comment was incredibly stupid. Maybe you don't want anything like to happen to him, but you don't live with him, he's never stolen anything of yours, he's never acted like asshole to your father, or you, or any other family member, and he has never ignored a blatant, simple request that you have asked ( ... )

Hence why one of the first things I said what I don't live there I don't know what happens all I know is him from class, and then said that I could be asking really stupid questions.

I just don't like the idea of ANYONE ending up in a shitty place or situation.

I know you said that. SO I filled you in on a few of the things he does.

And I understand that- you're a nice person, and nice people typically hate when bad things happen to others. But in this case, he had a perfectly good chance, with four people that could have cared for him- if he had decided to make himself a part of this family. He chose to NOT care, and mouth off to everyone in the house. It does suck that he could end up in a bad position- but he had a chance. And he blew it- over and over again.
