This weekend was pretty much all about cooking for me.

Friday was nothing as I did not want to cook after almost 14 hours of work. (having two jobs occasionally stinks)

Saturday there was cider and chai.  Neither of which are particularly complicated, but I enjoy them none the less.  There was also prep work for fruit cake.

The Hot and Sour Soup turned out decently.  Not perfectly, but decently.  Next time I make it, I'll leave out some of the water, which should help.

I decided to attempt making Hot & Sour Soup for dinner this evening.  This meant a trip to the local Asian food market.  I've never really shopped there, but I think I will start.  Pretty much everything you can get in a grocery store is there for about half the price (so long as it's vaguely asian or hispanic).  I'll report on the success of the ( Read more... )

Today, while looking for rose water to cook with, I came across a substance called Vor-Mag water.  According to the manufacturer Vor-Mag water is "water that has been vortexed and magnetized to raise the energy to a higher vibration that we believe to be more beneficial".  I almost peed myself I was laughing so hard.  (Note, I didn't actually laugh ( Read more... )
