Dare to think beyond intimidation?

One of India's last remaining institutions, one's right to one's freedom of speech, is being threatened. And the target, fellow IIM-ers. Shocking ( Read more... )

Damn!!! What people, man! I am totally stunned. The fellow giving up his job was just too much. The article in JAM was a proper expose of these fraudsters. These people seem to be loaded with cash to do such things. The movie they made had an atrocious storyline & bombed resoundingly at the BO. Mr.Chaudhuri claims to have learnt some lessons from the disaster & even gave some shitty analysis about that.

BTW did you read about some other fraudster called Parnab on Gaurav Sabnis's blog? Just too much - a QM who makes up questions on the fly - with answers to match too. Check it out.

Yup. Very, very sad. Anyway, Gaurav plans to app for his PhD next year, but his integrity in the face of such an assault was amazing. Hats off.

Ans yes, I knew of Porno-da right from the beginning. He's again one of those really acknowledged grauds, akin to Chaudhuri and Subramanian Swamy.

IIPM's stupidity would have been funny if it wasn't so scary....

True. I remember having a hearty laugh every time I read one of those gaudy full page ads. Looks like he's taking it one step too far this time. About time some regulatory authority stepped in, but since it's not affiliated to ANY Indian academic authority, that option is kinda difficult. It's all upto the mass media now. My profs also told me that this Malay Chaudhuri has never taught at IIMB campus. However, the insti feels, and rightly so, that fighting back would only dilute our own brand equity.

Tonight 10.30 NDTV 24x7, the IIPM issue. Or so I've been told.
Have been following this quite closely since yesterday, and I figure the most comprehensive of the whole bit is this- http://www.desipundit.com/2005/10/08/lies-damned-lies-and-fake-blogs/

Shocking. I started reading about this two days back. Hats off to Gaurav Sabnis for resigning and to Rashmi Bansal for actually posting all those loser comments on her blog. Btw, did you know that AC's "bestselling books" are actually another fraud! He actually creates pre-release hype through ads and then buys his own books to push the visibility in major bookstores!

Btw, all the morons aren't on IIPM's side:

Where did the fucker get all his money from? I wonder if there are more skeletons in the closet waiting to tumble out. In a way, I think it serves the damn fools right who joined his "institute" even after seeing his unintentionally funny ads in the newspapers.

BTW, Funk has written some inscrutable post that seems to take on a its-not-arindam's-fault-its-the-damn-society's note.

There could a bigger racket involved. This may even include schools like Amity and others with similar shady beginnings. And yeah, maybe people who joined had no other option/were so desperate that they didn't mind.

Aas far as Funk's post goes, I don't think anybody takes him seriously on such issues anymore. I don't follow his posts anyway.
