Swing time

Three glorious days of dancing here in Ann Arbor. There's few musicians I'd rather have than The Latter Day Lizards, who are incredibly versatile. They played swing, English, and a whole lot of contra (and even there, managed to go from old timey to moody to jazzy to honkytonky). And Gene Murrow called some favorite English dances. Great post! Definitely sums up the weekend for me: great dancing and music (esp. the Lizards' "many moods" and Gene calling such fun dances as SGT). Swing was a fun change-up and Salty Dog Rag was just the thing. I really enjoyed the conversations and the cooking and hanging out. Pumpkin pancakes - what a great idea! And dinner at Zingerman's in the tent, yum.
