Celebrating National Day
While the whole nation of Singapore is gearing to celebrate National Day, we'll be off to Malacca at A Famosa Resort for a few days break ;-P It was a great family package deal we chanced upon and couldn't resist :)
Might as well, we've never been away on National day before. Have always spent National Day itself watching the parade on TV - the 'patriotic' way, year in year out - more or less the same kind of show. We'd love to get tickets to watch it LIVE at the Stadium though, esp this year being the last, but no such luck ..
Heading off early tomorrow morning .. be back on Friday. Ryan will have to miss school tomorrow which is a short one-and-a-half hour celebration, miss singing his Mari-Kita and para para Singapore dance, and they are to don in red and white like what has been our own little tradition too ...
Meanwhile, Happy Birthday Singapore!
