{grumbles}
So I *tried* to take a nap at lunch....only to be awaken by, guess what?! The stinkin' fire alarm!

I'm now cuddled near my heater trying to get warm again.

I wish I'd've put the liner inside my trench coat!! (and if it weren't for Naomi's car, we would've frozen!)

Fire alarms are evil. Necessary but evil.

I remember one time when I was in grade school, I was in the office waiting to go home 'cause I had a fever. Fire alarm goes off. So I had to drag my ass outside for like five minutes in the cold. Now, granted, it was probably only around 55, so it wasn't THAT bad, but when you're sick... ew.

*cuddles*

I'm not sure how cold it is outside. Maybe I should check. {alt+tabs to CNN and the weather page} 37 degrees F. Wahoo. If it gets colder tonight, it could *snow*. In HOU.
{shivers and cuddles back near personal heater}

Whoa, I think Houston's been taking lessons from Chicago. Bad Houston!

LOL!

...this is why I don't think I'd survive living up north.

Hee... the fire alarms kept going off at the school where I work today because they are working on them. So the secretary keeps coming on the announcements saying to disregard them. The thing is, we're scheduled to have an actual fire drill during first period tomorrow, so no one's going to think they actually have to go outside this time...

I hope it warms up in Houston soon for you!!

Heh. Thing is, we have "false alarms" once every two weeks or so. It never fails, that we get an email saying that "this evening at 6pm to 8pm the alarms will sound" and that *day* we have a false alarm.

...we're supposed to be below freezing now. {gets hot tea and goes to decorate Christmas tree}
