Canada, well on the first part with you friend at school, I'll need to know more details to fully get explanations. How long did they know each other, how far away was he, how long was the break, etc? There could be a few reasons he didn't call.

As for the "maybe he's just not into thing"...guys are pretty nonconfrontational. Most guys I know have a three call back rule. IF they don't a responce then its over, stop trying. I think we assumme girls have the same type of trigger. Unless there was some type of semi solid commitment, the easiest to do is just don't answer the phone. Caller ID is a marvel, and a curse.
