Just before midnight last night, we had a 7.4 earthquake. We had been doing so well, no 6s in the last couple days, just a handful of 5s farther south. Now whenever it's quiet I'll just becoming increasingly worried. Wonderful

Except now I feel ridiculously bipolar, because the moment I had no power and no idea when it was coming back, it was like flipping a switch of total despair. Power comes back, tantrum ends. Oh my god, self. It wasn't even 24 hours. Calm down.
Given everything else that's happened I definitely don't think that's an unusual reaction. It's still badly shaking after three weeks, I definitely would have flipped the heck out.
It's lovely. I suggest it. I carry it around with me and pass it to others, people write the best things and then I can read back and remember them writing in it. And it's just nice to have. I have three notebooks now, it's been going almost four years. I'm somewhere in the 6,500's :)
I might start one of these someday, but I'm happily a very thankful person to begin with, so there would be page after page of "this person's face, this person's happy face, this person's surprised face, etc, etc" for practically everyone I know.
I also carry a...guestbook of sorts? I have people draw pictures and sign their name, and it stays in my purse always. :D

So I have this book, see? It's called "The Happy Book: An incomplete and ever-changing list of things that make me and others happy."
